Future of Cloud Computing

In this fast-moving world, everything is connected digitally. But we can’t see or touch it, right? That is because all of them are stored in either clouds or satellites. The revolution of cloud storage or rather computing started in the early 2000s. There were multiple reasons for such a revolution in computing. As the population increased, the demand for computing also increased. Computers reached people much closer than before due to this increased demand. The revolution started with large room-sized machines to hand size devices. Now in a simple way cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. According to recent research, migrations to the public cloud grew to 92% from 89% for the last three years. And now, over 80% of firms with 1000 workers or more are using multiple cloud platforms at a time. By 2024, this percentage is expected to jump up to 90%. Many companies rushed into cloud computing because it enables them to be agile and competitive in a fast-paced, ever-changing customer landscape. It is a solution to reduce the expenses for maintaining on-prem workloads and it also aids in streamlining and standardization of security measures, etc.
